Math educator hired at Chadron State

Beth Wentworth of Spring Lake Park, Minn., has been hired to be assistant professor of mathematical education at Chadron State College. She will begin teaching at Chadron State this fall.

During the past five years, Wentworth has supervised practicum and student teachers at the University of Minnesota. Prior to that, she was an instructor at Northern State University at Aberdeen, S.D.

Her experience includes teaching and tutoring elementary and middle school students. In addition, she belongs to a number of professional and academic associations.

Wentworth earned a bachelor’s degree at Minot State University in 1972 and a master’s degree from Northern State in 1998.

Beth and her husband, John, have two children. Patricia is a graduate from North Dakota State University and J. Edward Jr. is pursuing a graduate degree at the University of South Dakota.
